1. Payment model
Foleo uses provider-neutral payment tracking, transaction records, and admin-reviewed creator payout workflows. Foleo is not an escrow provider and does not represent that funds are held in legal escrow unless a specific provider and legal arrangement expressly say so.
The status shown in Foleo is an operational record. A provider's charge, refund, transfer, verification, or dispute status may differ temporarily while Foleo reconciles a webhook, evidence, manual payment reference, or human review. Only the applicable provider and the final Foleo record determine whether a payment or payout has been completed.
2. Funding a transaction
Foleo may offer card checkout through a supported provider, a controlled manual bank or mobile-financial-service reference flow, or another approved payment method. A manual reference is not verified merely because it was submitted; work should not begin on the basis of an unverified manual payment where the workflow requires verification.
Before you pay, review the transaction amount, fee, currency, scope, and any tax or provider charge presented in the relevant workflow. Do not submit a payment reference that belongs to someone else, reuse a reference, alter evidence, or represent that a provider charge succeeded when it did not.
3. Fees, currency, taxes, and records
Foleo may charge platform fees that are disclosed before the relevant transaction is funded or accepted. The rate, party responsible for the fee, currency, and applicable adjustments may vary by product, payment method, geography, promotion, or transaction type. Foleo may correct a clear calculation, duplicate, or provider-record error with an auditable record.
Each user is responsible for taxes, invoices, withholding, exchange costs, reporting, and other financial obligations arising from their activity, except where applicable law requires Foleo or a provider to collect, withhold, report, or remit an amount. Transaction, ledger, payment, payout, and audit records may be retained after an account is deleted when required or reasonably necessary for those purposes.
4. Creator payables and payout release
A creator payable becomes available only from approved Foleo payment and ledger records. A listed package price, unaccepted request, pending campaign application, estimated Clip Brief payout, or self-reported metric is not an available balance. Payout requests cannot exceed the creator's available payable balance.
Payout release is admin-controlled and may use a supported provider transfer when the creator has a ready account, or a manual or off-platform fallback where provider support is unavailable. Foleo may delay, decline, reverse, offset, or require additional review of a payout for fraud risk, a dispute, a refund, chargeback, missing verification, legal requirement, provider limitation, or a material policy issue. Serious payout denial requires human review and may be appealed where the workflow provides an appeal path.
5. Delivery approval, refunds, and disputes
For a direct request, payment may be tracked as confirmed while the creator works and then move to payout review after the customer approves a compliant delivery or the applicable review window passes without a valid revision request or dispute. This process is designed to create a clear record; it is not a promise of automatic transfer.
Refunds and partial refunds depend on the accepted transaction terms, work status, evidence, provider rules, applicable law, and human review. A chargeback, provider dispute, or payment reversal may cause Foleo to pause a payout, preserve evidence, reverse or offset a related record where permitted, and cooperate with the provider's process.
6. Campaign compensation and Clip Briefs
Open Brief compensation is governed by the versioned terms accepted for the creator's application or funded slot. Foleo preserves that accepted snapshot so a brand cannot unilaterally reduce or rewrite accepted compensation retroactively. Payment and payout release still require the applicable approval and review steps.
Clip Brief rewards are performance compensation. The accepted terms define the rate per 1,000 verified views, budget cap, per-post cap, per-creator cap, metric lock window, and other restrictions. Creator-provided screenshots, public post URLs, API data, or assisted checks are evidence only. Foleo calculates payout after human reconciliation of verified views and applies all stated caps before creating an eligible payable record.
7. Errors, fraud, and support
You must report a suspected payment error, unauthorized activity, duplicate charge, wrong payout destination, or fraudulent request promptly through the applicable Foleo workflow or provider process. Do not attempt to manipulate payment status, ledger entries, evidence, views, conversion records, or payout calculations.
Foleo may correct clerical or provider synchronization errors, issue compensating ledger records instead of silently overwriting immutable history, and notify affected users when a material correction is made. Payment-related complaints are handled through the relevant request, campaign, Clip Brief, payout, dispute, or support workflow.
